Team Three had their Spelling Olympics on Tuesday the 16th of September. In case you're wondering what a Spelling Olympics is, it's a spelling competition.
This term we are doing spelling as our homework. We had to compete against children who were on the using the same spelling book. The books ranged in order of difficulty from 1 up to 6. Room 11 children competed in the competitions for books 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The competition worked by assigning three words from each book. We had to spell each of these correctly and then quickly race to a judge.
Those people who spelt their words correctly and were in the top two or three in their group proceeded to a final to see who were the best spellers at their level.
We all had a great time and some children in our class won gold and silver medals in the fierce competition. Here are our victors.
Litia: Gold medal in Book 4
Brooklyn: Gold medal in Book 3
Kingston P: Gold medal in Book 1
Ahsin: Silver medal in Book 1

Hi Ahsin
That is a cool medal. Did you find it hard? What were some of your words?
From Darius
I'd like to have a spelling competition too.

Well done spelling champions!
You must have all worked hard at learning your words.
