The Three Little Pigs

A retelling of the Three Little Pigs from Esrah, Howard, Caroline, Jessica and Ramona. We've been buddy writing in Room 11. Each group was asked to write part of the story and here is what they came up with...

Once upon a time there lived three little pigs and one day their mother said, “You’s are old enough to go out and explore the world!” So off they went to explore the world. “What will we do? “ “We will make our own houses, OK” and they agreed.

The first pig made his house out of straw, the second little pig made a house out of logs. The third little pig made his one out of bricks and the other little pigs laughed but he still worked. “Finally I’m done” He cried.

By Howard and Esrah

A hungry wolf was wondering in the forest...

The wolf went looking for his next meal. He saw some little pigs and said "Little pig, little pig, let me come in!" "No, no not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!" "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house down!" He blew the house down and ate the little pig who lived inside.

After that the big bad wolf went to the last pig's house and he said, "Little pig, little pig, let me come in!" "No, no not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!" "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in!" But the wolf couldn’t blow the house in. Then the wolf went up onto the little pig’s roof and went down the chimney and cried “Ow!” because the little pig had put a pot in the fire and then the wolf fell in a pot of soup.

Then the little pig called a friend on the phone and said, “Do you want to come around for some wolf soup? And the little pig lived happily ever after.

Dear Pt England Scribes,

What an excellent retelling of the story. My favorite part was at the end when the pig called a friend and invited them to come over for wolf soup!

Have you ever read "The True Story of The Three Little Pigs" by Jon Scieszka? It is very funny. It tells the story from the wolf's point of view.

My third grade students in the USA like your blog very much. If you have a chance, visit our blog and leave a comment.

Keep up the great work!
